Hola chicos/as! It's been a while! Right now I'm in bed, after a fun night with the girls yesterday. But I can't stay in bed forever, heading to work in an hour and a half. Tonight I'll probably just watch some TV and chill on the couch cause tomorrow I'm working again. Other than my crazy work schedule (7 days straight, a day off and another seven days straight) I'm doing just fine. The summerbreak hasn't been anything special so far. As every year we kicked it off with a little trip to the TT in Assen. Was definitely great to see how many more Lorenzo fans there were this year! But other than that I haven't done anything particularly exciting, just hanging around with friends really. I am going to London in August however which should be fun! And then hopefully making a little roadtrip to Munich to see Bayern play Real Madrid, gonna have to see if I can make that work out.

Anyway, I decided I'll just use Photobooth to make pictures for now - better than nothing, no? I really want to keep up with this blog but I keep getting annoyed or forget about it. Well, here it goes again.

Uuuughhh I'm so pissed! My camera's giving me a hard time, one moment it works, one moment it doesn't. Not working with the plans I had. Guess I will continue trying to fix it and in the mean time entertain you with stories, pictures and maybe even some crappy pictures from my phone.

My weekend wasn't very exciting, started off with going to see a Nirvana coverband with Lisa, didn't think much of it but they were actually really good.. Then Charlot and me were supposed to go to Maluca but had a few problems with the guestlist so ended up roaming the streets of Amsterdam and sleeping early(for a friday night.) Saturday night we ended up playing video games then went to get a midnight burger(the best ones)and had a drink in the city with my brother. Yesterday I went to Walibi World (formerly Six Flags) with a few friends which was pretty fun except for the fact I stuffed my face with french fries and belgian waffles with whipped cream and then proceeded to go in every attraction four times in a row hahah, wasn't such a good plan after all.

This morning I've been pretty much lying in bed, reading a little bit, reading some blogs.. In an hour I'm meeting up Fiona and Maxime for lunch and then going tanning and to the movies with Max... What a good day!

GOOD NEWS: I fixed my camera! Ahh I'm so happy about it, I really want to start documenting what I'm doing - especially now spring is here and everything is a little better and a little more beautiful than it usually is. This also means I will start using this blog again! I'm hoping to get a new lay-out soon if ever I figure out HOW! My camera is charging right now, so I'm guessing I'll make a photo update tomorrow, I still have some photos I took last time in Paris and probably some randoms. This sunday me and a few of my girlfriends Nina, Lisa and Friz, went to American Sunday's at the Zandvoort race track. American Sunday's has dragraces, lots of musclecars, cheerleaders, motorcycles, just so much to see. If you know me, you know I like speed and even though I prefer motorcycles, these cars definitely do it for me too! After being there I was so inspired to finally get my drivers license, I started taking lessons again today! Hopefully when I have my drivers license I can go on and get my motorcycle drivers license.

But I'm an especially big fan of men's crewneck sweaters and varsity jackets on girls. A crew neck sweater is perfect now that spring is coming up, you can fold it up and put it in your purse for when it gets a little colder, and I don't think there's anything wrong with girls occasionally wearing guys' clothes, I encourage it. Ciao tutti!

This week has been a really good one, a friend of mine got her drivers liscense so we've been cruising around. We went to the beach yesterday which was a breath of fresh air, litterally and figurly speaking. I love going to other places, get away from everything and everyone. A beach town in the spring is a great option, have the wind blow trough your hair and the sand between your toes as you walk along the coast line. We had a really good day, the weather was amazing, we had a few drinks, good talks, fun talks and eventually went out for a delicious dinner. When we got back we went to a BBQ party to have a few beers and chill a little bit, which was a nice closure of the day. I haven't slept so well in weeks! I have a feeling today will be a good day as well.. I just hope I can remind myself to take some pictures!

Spring is really setting in now, it's amazing how much a few rays of sun can do! I feel like sipping cocktails and tanning all day, sadly it's a little too cold for that, still. But just the fact that everything and everyone looks a little better with a bit of sun on it makes me want to get in the water and swim all day. Which remind me that I should buy a new bikini, something that I looove to go shopping for. I'm not sure if I should just buy one or order one online, as I hate walking around in a bikini everyone around me has.. Here are a few options I'm thinking about;

This would probably be a really good option because it combines my love for a splash of Leopard print and my love of bandeau tops. Not sure how I feel about the golden details though, maybe a little too flashy for my taste.

This one is also from Victoria's Secret, I love the color scheme and the fact it has a print but isn't too much of a good thing!

It's spring! Even though I have a pretty bad hangover and had a pretty rough night I can feel my mood lighten up instantly! There's just nothing that can beat the sunshine shining trough your windows and the warmth on your skin. It'll only take a few more weeks for the flowers to blossom so in the mean time I'll keep my spirit up by listening to The Manao Company and pretending to be in Hawaii.

It's probably a mixture of the laidback lifestyle, the weather, the surfing, the history, but I've always had a slight obsession with Hawaii. I really hope I'll be able to go there soon, it's been on top of my to do list for a long, long time.

Great waking up today, setting your alarm to a song you love is a good idea, immediate pick up. Just finished all my chores for today so the only thing left to do is three hours of work and my weekend is ready to begin! Thinking of dropping by some shops in a bit, maybe visit my mom for a second and get something to drink to enjoy the first rays of sun! I loved waking up today, going to my balcony for my usual cup of coffee and morning cigarette to discover that the sun was actually shining and the temperature was getting there aswell!

Organized my room a little bit, need to buy another closet soon because the ones I have now are beginning to get pretty full..

This is my hair in it's natural state, it's big, it's curly, it's frizzy, it's all over the place but I kinda love it! I have been clueless however as to what to do with my bangs. I've always either had straight across fringe or shorter sideswept bangs. I was going to let it grow but now i'm in that awkward, in-between phase and it's really annoying.. it's too long to give it a little swoop and it's too short to really let it curl. So lately I've either just kept it the way it is or pin it back like this;

WHAT should I do?! I'm ten seconds away from getting straight across bangs again but I know I'll probably regret it later.. Hair can be so frustrating..

As per usual around this time of year, lots of things have been changing! And now that I have a lot more time on my hands you can expect more updates on this blog. Once again I quit school, really don't regret that I started it in the first place but I'm kind of starting to feel like that girl from The Brothers Bloom hahah.. I'm pretty good, have been setting some priorities and trying to figure out what's important to me, and in my life. Cutting out the bad and keeping and adding to the good. For those of you who didn't know I started another blog (http://pop-stitute.blogspot.com) for more serious thoughts, It's partly fiction, partly non-fiction, mostly just random thoughts.

Anyways, I'll try, once again, to keep up with this blog and post whatever I've been doing, things that interest me, outfits, the usual. Hopefully keep it a little light hearted. I've been really into Polyvore lately so here's an outfit and a wishlist to start off with;

A brand that keeps coming back to me is Nikita, sadly it's kind of hard to find around here but I've loved the brand for a while now. They bring a really good mix of a surfer-ish kind of brand with a girly brand. Love their use of colors, fabrics and cuts.

The first thing i'ma buy when I get my paycheck is probably a pair of good grey skinnies, I've been looking for a while now but it turns out to be pretty hard to find a pair that actually really fits well. I think grey is a great color for jeans in spring and summer, it's combines really nicely with colors like light pink, white and blues and it's a nice way to differ from my usual jeans. I've also been lusting after this H&M lingerie, it's pretty cheap but it looks amazing! Hopefully I'll find it in stores soon, otherwise there's always the online shop.

One thing I hope to find soon is a good nailpolish! I've never been a big nailpolish wearer even though I love getting my nails done, it's usually a black french manicure, completely black or a clear coat. But lately I've been wanting to find cute pinks or blues.

so christmas has been okay.. i'm not too much of a christmas-person but it was good i guess. I spent christmas eve with Fiona in amsterdam, we ate our favorite dish at Ovidius, and I bought some cute stuff. Then christmas day I had to work, but I got to go home early because it was insanely quiet. I went to Midas and we watched The Girl Next Door which is the funniest movie ever. Then on boxing day we had a family-brunch, that was funny because Jigger, the new puppy, is crazy wild and likes to bite everything he sees, including my dad's glasses.

work tonight, boring boring. but i'm reallllly looking forward to new years eve! and fiona's party january third. i'll probably be dead january 4th. thank god for the holidays!

I've been hanging around home all day today. I woke up at around 11 and ate breakfast in bed while watching Breakfast at Tiffany's. It's still one of my favorite movies even if I've watched it a hundred times. Friday me and Kim went to Gabrielle to dye her hair and watch Disney movies. We went to Friz after that and you know, smoked cigarettes drank wine and went to the city. I met up with Fiona and Nina and Lisa and it was fun but I got a little sick so I was home pretty early. I have 3 classes tomorrow and then yoga tomorrow night w/ Lisa. Yesterday I watched 'Imaginary Heroes' and I really loved it, probably because I loooove Emile Hirsch and Ryan Donowho, but the story I loved too.

Now I'm finishing up some homework and watching Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! and going to bed eeeaarrrlllyy. I'm craving chinese take-out right now.

Bonjour!

Life has been pretty hectic lately, lots of homework and schoolschoolschool. Saturday I went to Rauw in Tivoli w/ Fiona and Samantha, which is always fun. The line up was pretty cool; DJ Joost van Bellen, The Shoes and Erol Alkan(<--- love him) But I don't think it was as good as last time's(Crookers and Boys Noize). There were a lot of drugged up people and we got into a minor fight with this ugly chick with the worst haircut ever DNW. So the plan was to go to Paris during christmas but it seems the plans are changing so unfortunately I'll probably stay home for christmas. I'm trying to figure things out about my internship, which hopefully will either be in Paris or London but that's more than a year away luckily. Now I'm thinking about redecorating my room, but I don't know if that's smart because I really want to move out and maybe I should save my money for my new room(whenever that might be). But that brings me back to the internship, because it wouldn't be smart either if I got my own place when I'm in Paris. anyway, here are come pics;

okay so our first stop was in NYC, where we stayed at the lovely Hudson Hotel. i would seriously recommend this hotel to anyone. it looks really cool, the service was good and so is the location.

Ciao tutti!

Life.

Obviously I'm not good at these types of things but bare with me, because eventually, I will learn to keep up. I've been busy applying for schools and basically counting down the days untill I'm out of here and on my way to NYC. Only a little less than a month to go yeshh. We're already planning the rest of the year;

Christmas in Paris like always. I can honestly say there are few things I have seen that are more amazing than the scene of blvd. Haussmann all lighted up, people rushing in and out of LaFayette with these huge bags filled with last minute-gifts. Nothing better than walking around Paris, coffee in your hand and the snow crushing under your feet. Iceskating, christmas-socks, disneyland, red noses, meeting italian strangers who think we don't understand them in the eiffel-tower elevator and much more.

Paris last year.

Ibiza springtime. I really love Ibiza because there's everything you could ever want. Sleeping on the beach in the morning, visiting the hippie-markets and shops in the afternoon, cooking dinner, then going out. And then do it over all again.
ROADTRIP next summer. Italy-Spain-France. It'll be me and my life long best friend, Fiona, driving up to my parents' house in Rosas, Spain for a few days, combining it with Barcelona. Then Driving to our hometown Jesolo, Italy. Hopefully we'll be meeting up with the nurses there. This means we'll be in Aqualandia (which you could describe as paradise on earth) all day long and going clubbing every night. + Treviso and Venice ofcourse. Then lastly we'll go to Cannes, St. Tropez and Monaco to relax before school starts again. Life is prrretty sweet.

Watched movies with the nurses thursday, ended in aggresive pillow fights hahah. Yesterday night Fiona and I went downtown to eat and then met up with Lisa S. for drinks. Eventually we went to a gaybar w/ the guys which was reealll ehm entertaining? hah. and then went to De Kelder. Tonight I'm going to Nina's to watch the Laguna Seca MotoGP and then going shopping with Fiona tomorrow.

Went to the MotoGP in Assen this week which was realy really nice as always with Nina and Lisa S. Ofcourse we had to show some love to our boys Nicky Hayden and Valentino Rossi!! We arrived at the track around 9:30 and watched the GP training then got something to eat and got some stuff then watched the 125 cc race. Was kind of disapointing but i was there for the GP anyway. We walked around for a bit and then went to see the GP race on the main tribune. We were yelling our asses off and almost got into a fight between 2 guys.

In the end Vale crashed and Nicky ran out of fuel right before the finish ahaha BUT we still love them so it's all okay. and 4th for Nicky isn't so bad anyway.

I'm trying to decide wether I should go to school or go to Paris and i'm RUNNING OUT OF TIME sucks sucks sucks. I'm also trying to figure out a proper plan for summer. Right now I'm going to Lowlands August 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th and then the 18th I'm leaving for New-York/Nantucket. I'm not sure how that's going to work out but I'm sure it'll be okay.

Life is kind of weird right now, my mom is on vacation so it's just me and the pops, we're drinking beer and eating pizza's and watching sports hahahah it's fun. We're picking out suits this week.

My sleep pattern is getting fucked up again, I stay up till 3 each night because I can't get any sleep before that. Same goes for my eating, right now it's usually Special K twice a day, toast with butter, lots of tea and fruit and the occasional fast food to keep my stomache filled on long days. Can't keep anything else down.
